Proposed roundabout a potential disaster for Royall Hardware and Haddrell's Point

October 31, 2014

Royall Hardware and Haddrell's Point could use your help - This Monday morning's Town Council Transportation Committee meeting at 11:00AM will include discussion of the proposed traffic circle for the intersection of Coleman Blvd. and Chuck Dawley Blvd. There is nothing wrong with traffic circles, but the design appears to make it very difficult for delivery trucks as well as cars pulling boat trailers to get in and out of the parking lot for Royall Hardware and Haddrell's Point Tackle (click on the image in this post to see it). In order to exit to Chuck Dawley or to head west on Coleman, drivers will have to turn around within the lot to get back to the traffic circle. If it becomes too difficult for boat trailers to access Haddrell's Point, the business could be forced to move. Improvements to Coleman Blvd. should certainly not impose hardships on two of our Town's longest-running local businesses. To let Town Council know that it's important to do everything possible to ensure these businesses are not negatively impacted by the traffic circle, be sure to make your voices heard at Monday's Committee meeting, or you can reach Council via email at . Be sure to share to spread the word.
